This dealt with the Recovery, Preparation and Repatriation of British soldiers killed during and after the gulf conflict; (no Grave Registration Training was done by any of my team this was, ("In Head First Stuff"). Also the recovery and holding of IRAQ dead until we could hand them back through the Red Cross. We Recovered Bodies from Kuwait and surrounding areas, Field Hospitals, also 2 x Reporters from the oil fields who had been burnt beyond recognition, also RTA 's. we did inhale some smoke from the oil fields of Kuwait, and also spent time around burnt out Iraq Tanks/Vehicles. 10. We continued to work on the Grave Reg Team 24hrs a day until our return to UK, as well as carrying out normal work. That was working at the port loading the vehicles ready for shipping back to UK/Germany, working back at ASP2, working in the Ord. Supply Depot, also we were responsible for all the De-Bombing of all British Armour, where we man handled DU26 rounds (Depleted Uranium Tank Rounds). I could not say if our accommodation had been sprayed with any pesticides as were generally out working. If Baldric lines were sprayed then our tents were also. But as I had served in Belize Twice since where foggers had been used daily I would not of paid any attention to the smell as I got so used to it in Belize. 11. Since my return to the UK roughly around the 26th June 91, I have found my medical condition deteriorating. I started to suffer from bouts of server depression, head & ear aches, hypertension, constant lower back pain, problems getting to sleep, nightmares, lumps appearing on my head, problems with infections/kidney stones in both of my kidneys. I have received treatment for all of the medical problems above including counselling, and am still under going treatment. 12.
